Facebook adds to the growing amount of brands using print marketing

It is becoming more ubiquitous to see businesses publishing and sending out their own print publications. From Airbnb to ASOS, you have probably seen an increase in these.
So what business is following suit? Believe it or not, Facebook is introducing “Grow”. They have suggested that this isn’t something they’d define as a magazine but rather print marketing.

Amazing images and in beautiful locations – falling naturally into place alongside its readership in British Airways lounges in Heathrow and Gatwick airport.
Why are these huge digital businesses turning to print?
‘Trust, authority and credibility,’ says Terri White, editor-in-chief of Empire. ‘The digital space is a hectic, loud, cluttered landscape with bloggers, influencers, journalists, editors, writers, marketeers all shouting into the void – their voices surfacing, or not, depending on SEO or algorithms. Facebook has been at the heart of news formed around distrust and other fake news scandals so it only makes sense that they make a move into credible forms of marketing. In fact, reportedly 70% of magazine readers trust magazines, but only 30% of social media users trust social media.
Not only that but it is incredibly popular too. Fashion giant, ASOS, created a magazine which started life as a direct mail freebie and has become the UK’s highest circulation fashion title, now selling for £1 online.
