PSL achieves Ecovadis gold accreditation for corporate social responsibility excellence.

Operating for over 35 years, PSL initially focused on achieving growth and excellent customer service. In recent years, focus has shifted onto the health and well being of staff, reducing their carbon footprint and offering social value.

Recently, the business has been awarded a gold Ecovadis medal, which recognises PSL’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable business endeavors. The medal emphasises the great values PSL adopts regarding environmental impact, fair business practice and sustainable procurement. PSL scored in the top 5% of companies assessed by Ecovadis and demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and ethical business conduct.

The Ecovadis assessment process involves a comprehensive review of a company’s sustainability policies, procedures, and performance, as well as its supply chain management practices. Ecovadis is the leading provider of sustainability ratings for global supply chains, helping companies make informed sourcing decisions and improving sustainability performance. With a team of experts and a proprietary assessment methodology, Ecovadis evaluates companies across 20 sectors and over 150 purchasing categories.

As well as being advantageous from a client perspective, PSL have found that achieving this medal has improved internal working processes, enabling them to better considerations based on their surroundings, their colleagues and the environment.

PSL joined the Hague Group in May 2022 and the integration of the business supports Hague’s own goals regarding corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Hague have also been awarded a silver Ecovadis accreditation, scoring in the top 25% of companies, highlighting their dedication to social value and the environment.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from Ecovadis,” said Graham Wain, MD at Hague. “As a group, we believe in making a positive impact on the world. This accreditation is a testament to our efforts and reinforces our commitment to sustainability.”

Hard work doesn’t stop there, as both Hague and PSL look to continuously improve their efforts in future, striving towards excellence in sustainability and corporate social responsibility- maintaining their high standards for years to come.
